About Ellen
In 1979 Ellen Levinsky, Fair Weather Feather Creations, moved to Maui. Using natural bird feathers to create colorful jewelry and art, she was inspired by the Hawaiian culture's feather art and petroglyphs. Joining Lahaina Arts Society in 1985, her art was in their gallery & at weekly Banyan Tree art Fairs. For 22 years Ellen taught 2 weekly after school classes in LAS's Children's Outreach Art Program. She also was a resident artist in the annual Celebration of Culture & Arts at the Ritz Carleton Kapalua; assisting children & adults to create feather petroglyph pictures. "I enjoy encouraging children & adults to connect with their inner creativity and produce their own unique artwork".
